Setting the Wedding Date

The first thing we had to decide was the wedding date. We wanted to have a winter wedding, because we live in Florida. Any other time of year the weather is to hot and humid. I don't need to worry about my make-up melting off my face, frizzy hair, or sweaty arm pits. If we lived in a different climate I would have reconsidered that choice.
The problem with a winter wedding is holidays. I've made sure to plan everything way in advance to make it as smooth as possible. Twelve months is not a very long time, it creaps up very quickly. I'm confidant if I reasearch and price compare early, I'll be able to book everything early. Therefore my Wedding day will be a happy stress free day. I also want to make sure that the wedding is about my fiance' and I joining our lives in holy matrimony, not about throwing a huge expense party.
It's a celebration of love!

You go girl. You're beautiful inside and out. I made Martha Stewart's chocolate fortune cookies as favors for my niece's wedding. YUM but lots of work. Will do the same for you or anything else you need. Your PRC buddy.

Nancy that is a very sweat offer. I would love to accept, but you might want to reconsider when I tell you I'm not sure how many guest will be attending. So far my guest list is qickly approaching 350-400 people. I'd rather you spend your time working on your dance moves!

sirhc, Thank you for your concern, however I have always known if my wedding was going to be in the church my whole church family would be invited. Which is one of the reasons for the large number of guest. If you keep reading my blog over the next year you will see how we are going to have a large wedding on a small budget and still make it about the celebration of the joining of our lives in holy matrimony.

Ok, so can I help you with something else? I love to make wedding stuff. My niece had 300 and I made everything from decorating cameras, custom place cards, handmade favors boxes lined in velvet, decorated knife, wedding book, menu holders, menus, bubble bags, decorated baskets, silk roses used to decorate napkins that could be used as pin on flowers for guests, garters for bride & groom, decorated flutes for champagne, decorations for behind head table, a kids table with special stuff (tell about in another blog) decorated shoes, gloves, through away bouquet, gifts for children all for under $500. Yippee. Cheap and very cheerful.
Bye for now. N
